FAQ

What distinguishes this program from others aimed at young singers?

Our program is built on a "learn by doing" philosophy, giving students the chance to engage directly in the rehearsal and production process. We prepare students for success by instilling a replicable learning process and providing opportunities to showcase their work in real-world settings.

We emphasize a balance between technical precision and emotional connection, encouraging students to approach opera as both performers and creators. The program fosters a lifelong passion for the arts and helps students discover their unique artistic voices.

Is financial aid or scholarship assistance available?

Yes, we offer need-based scholarships to ensure accessibility, aiming to provide opportunities to students from all backgrounds.

What level of experience is expected for students applying?

We welcome students of all levels. While we seek top vocalists, we also understand that not all students have had access to technical training in classical voice. We evaluate applications for potential and dedication and aim to help students grow into advanced vocalists.

The program is open to students worldwide, creating a community of learners from diverse backgrounds.

Are private lessons, coachings, or masterclasses included?

Yes, the program includes:

Private coachings tailored to individual students.

Public masterclasses led by esteemed staff and guest artists.

Voice lessons are not provided during the program, as building a solid vocal technique requires long-term guidance. This structure helps avoid confusion and ensures students continue to grow with their regular teachers.

What kind of performance opportunities are offered?

Students perform or record a full opera composed specifically for young voices, accompanied by a live chamber orchestra. These opportunities help students build confidence and gain invaluable performance experience giving them a competitive edge when it comes time to apply for colleges or conservatories.

All students participate in the opera. Additionally, we offer a limited number of specialized fellowships in conducting and stage management:

  • Conducting Fellows receive one-on-one mentorship, culminating in conducting the orchestra through an aria, which is recorded for their portfolio.
  • Stage Management Fellows learn to prepare scores, call a show, and collaborate with the director and production team.
