A Typical Day

7:00 AM - 8:00 AM: Breakfast

8:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Music Rehearsal, Staging Rehearsal, & Coachings

12:00 PM -1:30 PM: Lunch in the Plaza

1:30 PM - 3:00 PM: Masterclass with Guest Instructor

3:00 PM - 5:30 PM: Staging Rehearsal & Acting Class

5:30 PM - 6:30 PM: Dinner

6:30 PM -7:30 PM: Industry Insight Session

7:30 PM - 8:30 PM: Workshop

Why Santa Fe?

In addition to being one of the premier summer destinations in the United States, Santa Fe is rich in culture and home to the Santa Fe Opera. With this stunning location and exclusive collaboration with The Young Voices of The Santa Fe Opera, NYOA students have the unique opportunity to witness opera performed at the highest level. Participants will attend a Santa Fe Opera performance, meet cast members, and step backstage to see how world-class productions come together.

The Problem

‍The only way to get better at any skill is to do said skill multiple times until it feels like it is second nature.

The opportunity to step on stage as part of a full production is something many singers don't experience until they are well into college majoring in voice. A student can work on their technique, repertoire, and acting, but needs a place to put the practice room work to play.

The Solution

NYOA gives students the stage and and jump start on this process. When students can challenge themselves and discover what they are truly capable of while still in an educational setting, they become prepared and confident artists who feel at home on stage.
